Summary of this Math Lesson:

In this lesson, the student will how to find the prime factors of a number and how to list the prime factorization.  We'll do this by getting practice with many step-by-step example problems.

The easiest way to find the prime factorization of a number is to make use of a "factor tree".  What we do here is write the number down and write down all of the factors underneath in the form of a tree.  We continue this way until we have prime factors, which will all be listed at the "bottom" of the tree.

Once we have the prime factors we can write down the prime factorization of the number.
